Whether or not you know shit about the actual game, nothing beats a good sturdy rugby polo addition to your wardrobe in the fall. Rugby Ralph Lauren makes that happen with their new Match Rugby initiative, which aims to support young social entrepreneurs. To kick off the project, Rugby is releasing an exclusive shirt (shown above) along with collabos with TOMS shoes and FEED projects. Starting this month, the ongoing project will bring new limited edition Match gear each season.
Up to half of the proceeds of the rugby will go directly towards the fund. Polo is working with Teach for America, Youth Venture, and Donors Choose to help identify a group of young aspiring business owners who will compete for grants. The winners will be announced this December and will be partially chosen through online voting. Charitable and stylish? Sounds like a winning combination to us.
